쇼와시대 7년, 히데타카의 도장에서 가라테를 배우는 세 명의 젊은이들이 있다. 어느 날 그들의 스승 히데타카가 죽고, 그는 제자들의 앞날을 바꿀 검은 띠를 남긴다. (Three young men learn karate at the dojo of Hidetaka Shibahara. When their master dies, he leaves behind a black belt which affects the following years of the young men.)
